I saw an online ad for Persik Nano-Knockout Ultra-Microfiber Glass Cleaning Cloths a couple of months ago. Even though when in the process of buying them I had visions of those infomercials where that guy in the headset microphone is yelling at me to buy the latest, greatest gadget ever, I went ahead and got them on Amazon. The idea of cleaning without chemical cleaners intrigued me. If they didn’t work, I could always return them.
After using these products for about two months, I’m happy to say I can recommend them without reservation. It is so nice to be able to clean my mirrors, windows, and the glass in my doors quicker than with the ammonia I had used for years and without the ammonia smell. The Persik Glass Cleaning Cloth cleans with only water and cleans streak-free. I love it.
The Nano-Knockout Ultra-Microfiber Glass Cleaning Cloth
The glass cleaning cloth cleans best when it is dry and water is sprayed onto the area you want to clean. If you soak it in water, it will leave streaks. If you’re cleaning a lot of glass and mirrors and it begins to streak, just let it dry a bit and it will work just fine again.
The Nano-Knockout Ultra-Microfiber Cleaning Sponge
I’m also very happy with the Persik Nano-Knockout Ultra-Microfiber Cleaning Sponge for cleaning kitchen countertops and the bathroom.
I wasn’t interested in cleaning the kitchen and bathroom with absolutely no cleaner to kill germs. I found a solution: In a small bucket, I add enough warm water to completely submerge the sponge. To the water, I add about 1/4 dropper full each of tea tree essential oil, lavender essential oil, and lemon essential oil. Tea tree essential oil is an effective topical antimicrobial and will disinfect the surfaces of the kitchen and bathroom. Lemon essential oil helps remove grease. Mixed with lavender essential oil and tea tree essential oil this chemical-free anti-microbial cleaning solution smells fresh and clean.
Submerge the sponge in the water containing these three essential oils, wring it out well, and wipe down your kitchen and bathroom surfaces. Have one Persik sponge marked specifically for the toilet. I don’t like the idea of cleaning my kitchen with the same sponge I use to clean the toilet even if it is washed in laundry soap. For inside the toilet bowl, I use the Clorox Toilet Bowl Cleaning Wand. Inside the toilet bowl is not a place I care to go chemical-free.
Another option for cleaning with essential oils is to use Plant Therapy’s Germ Destroyer Synergy Blend. It contains lavender, lemon, marjoram sweet, spruce hemlock, and rosalina oils.
The sponge cleans the granite countertops in my kitchen beautifully, removing splattered grease and spills with a streak-free and chemical-free shine. It’s also effective in cleaning my stove’s glass top. For tough stains on the stovetop, I use Mrs. Meyer’s Baking Soda Cream Cleaner. My white painted kitchen cabinets cleaned up beautifully with this sponge, as well as the bathroom cabinets.
Pull out your refrigerator and stove and clean their sides with the Persik sponge. Wipe down the cabinets and the floor, then return the refrigerator and stove to their places.
The Nano-Knockout Ultra-Microfiber Cleaning Glove
The pack I bought came with a cleaning cloth glove to dust your home. It can be dampened for deeper cleaning. I really like it for cleaning ceiling fans. The dust and dirt cling to it well. It also makes wiping down the leather furniture quick and easy.
All of these items can be laundered in the washing machine. Air dry them and they’re ready to use again. I look forward to trying the Nano-Knockout Ultra-Microfiber Floor Mop.
Next Friday I’ll show you how to clean your carpets chemical-free. Enjoy the beautiful spring sunshine coming through your sparkling clean windows!
Put on some happy music or a cool podcast and have fun getting rid of grime! Happy Spring Cleaning!
