A deliciously rich, chewy, homemade chocolate chip cookie.
2 sticks (1 cup) of salted butter, softened
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of white sugar
1 tsp. of vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup of malted milk powder
1/2 tsp. of salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
12 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips
In a large bowl with the mixer on low, combine the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, and malted milk powder.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the salt, baking soda, and flour. Then add it slowly into the mixture in the large mixing bowl. Mix it on low until a soft dough forms.
When the dough is created, add the chocolate chips.
Next, use a spatula or wooden spoon to fold the chocolate chips into the dough. Mix them in well to get them evenly distributed throughout the dough.
When the chocolate chips are mixed in, use a medium (5cm) trigger release scoop to scoop the dough out of the bowl and onto a cookie sheet lined with baking parchment paper.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until just set and golden. When they are ready, remove them from the oven and immediately remove them from the cookie sheet and onto a rack or sheet of aluminum foil in the counter to cool. Don’t let them sit on the hot cookie sheet or they’ll continue to cook and you’ll lose that amazing chewy texture.
Enjoy these cookies as soon as you can handle them! 🙂
